ACP and CMA are proud to offer exclusive tours and outings to take advantage of Atlanta.
All are free, but space is limited for some. See details on sign-ups for each individual tour. Travel is at students’ own expense.
Walking tour of Auburn Avenue
1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30
Meet in Hyatt Regency lobby. Expected return by 3:30 p.m.
Auburn Avenue was America’s richest Black business center and then the headquarters of the civil rights movement. Veteran civil rights reporter and author Ernie Suggs will take you to cultural landmarks, the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr. and King’s gravesite. Bring notebooks, cameras or sketch pads and prepare to be inspired.
How to sign up: No limit on attendees, so just meet the guide in the Hyatt Regency lobby at the designated time.
Georgia Tech radio
Georgia Tech’s Office of Student Media and its multiple media organizations welcome ACP/CMA attendees to take part in a welcome reception at the campus’ new Media Suite and radio station, WREK 91.1FM. Come meet our staff, mingle with colleagues, see our new digs and enjoy light refreshments.

For those being dropped off by a ride service, go to 351 Ferst Drive, John Lewis Student Center.
For parking, go to 353 Ferst Drive, Lot W02 (West 02 parking deck and visitor lot). There is a charge of $2.50 per hour in this lot.
Walk into the main entrance of John Lewis Student Center. The Student Media Suite and WREK Radio are on the second floor (the level you walk in from the parking lot) in Suites 2149 and 2150 (behind Blue Donkey Coffee House).
